THE POSITION           
As PMO - Strategy Project Manager your mission is to bridge the gap between strategic objectives and execution by supporting and driving the delivery of key initiatives across Europe. This role is central to the successful rollout of Samsung’s strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment across departments, timely progress, and measurable results.

You will act as a strategic and operational execution partner within Project Management  (PMO), working closely with project managers, department heads, and local teams. You’ll monitor and guide project progress, step in when needed, and promote project management best practices. While this is a non-managerial position, you will play a critical role in steering cross-functional collaboration and overcoming organizational obstacles to drive impact. This role reports directly to the Head of Strategy.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES       
Strategic Project Monitoring & Control

  • Ensure that companywide and local strategic projects align with the set EU roadmap.
  • Monitor & report on progress, identifying risks, delays, or blockers and proposing practical resolutions.
  • Secure the successful completion and formal closure of open projects.
  • Maintain dashboards, reporting structures, and project documentation to support decision-making.

Project Management (Supportive and Directive)

  • Support or lead end-to-end project management of strategic initiatives.
  • Build & maintain solid business cases, scopes, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Promote process standardization across departments and markets.
  • Step into project leadership roles when required for companywide initiatives.
  • Coach and support teams with project planning and execution methodologies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Work closely with central and local senior leadership across Europe.
  • Manage expectations, promote collaboration, and mitigate resistance to change.
  • Facilitate clear, consistent & strategic communication across all relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for project-related decisions and escalations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments and handle cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities; able to assess and remove bottlenecks.
  • Skilled in project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Comfortable switching between high-level strategy & hands-on operational execution.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Pragmatic, structured, resilient, and action oriented.
  • Strong verbal & written communication across diverse cultural & linguistic backgrounds.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in strategy consulting, project management, or a comparable role.
  • Experience working in international, multicultural environments (EU focused is a plus).
  • Proven track record of successful project execution and strategic alignment.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and drive accountability.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.

Education

  • University degree or equivalent higher vocational education.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or similar) is considered a plus.
