THE POSITION
As European Product Manager, your mission is to oversee and develop the HVAC product portfolio within the Samsung Electronics Air Conditioning Europe (SEACE) organization, ensuring its alignment with market needs and driving growth across the European region.

This role will be based in the Schiphol office of Samsung and will report to the Head of Product Management. In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders in the European AC subsidiaries and distributors, Global Product Management, Product Planning, R&D in HQ, European sales, pre- sales, service, and marketing departments.

We are looking for an experienced product enthusiast who takes ownership, is proactive, able to communicate convincingly and work with cross-functional teams. This is a high visibility role within a fast-paced global company that will give you opportunities to learn and grow.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as the HVAC product ambassador for SEACE in the assigned Product Groups
  • Develops deep understanding of local customer needs, industry / regulatory requirements and product-market potential for assigned Product groups to drive product innovation sustainable way
  • Constantly evaluates and drives improvements in product strategy to expand sales growth and profitability
  • Researches the market and competitor movements on an ongoing basis and prepares actionable reports
  • Conducts competitor benchmarking in assigned product groups to compare product specification and price positioning
  • Drives Product Portfolio Management (PPM) through optimal product mix and pricing strategies for profitable growth in target Product Groups
  • Develops and implements product plans for the HVAC line-up in partnership with local country teams
  • Representing the company in key industry forums and conferences
  • Provides critical input into NPD/NPI programs through the preparation phase, market VOC, and customer pilot projects for successful product launch as a liaison between local teams, SEACE, and HQ
  • Supports daily operation for product related issues and proactively works with key stakeholders as local Product Managers, Heads of each subsidiary, Pre-Sales, Area Sales Managers, Customer service, and Marketing
  • Provides key input for improving supply forecasting and Product Life Cycle management processes in alignment with the product strategy
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time within Europe 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate would fit the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in sciences or engineering 
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in product management & development (or similar), preferably in HVAC, Electronic or B2B manufacturing industries
  • Open for relocation to the Netherlands 
  • Business fluency in English
  • Business affinity, commercial mind-set
  • Experience in international, multi-cultural / layered, dynamic environment
  • Problem solver and creative thinker
  • Effective communicator and flexible
  • Structured and analytical
  • Positive, and proactive
