Samsung Electronics Europe Logistics (SELS) is the Central European logistics organization of Samsung Electronics based in Delft, The Netherlands. SELS functions as a logistics and financial control tower within Samsung Europe, with a focused role in logistics & supply chain strategy, innovation and governance. SELS has approximately 150 employees located in the Netherlands and Slovakia.
The West Operations team governs and develops the logistics operations and distribution networks in Europe (central, local) in cooperation with our logistics service providers (4PL, 3PL). By translating voice of customer and biz requirements into best practice logistics solutions, Initiating advanced logistics innovation, and secure operations excellence.
THE POSITION
For our West Operations Team, located in Delft we are currently looking for a fulltime Logistics Manager.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As Logistics Manager, you will:
- Drive logistics innovation & optimization of Europe distribution networks (local, central)
- Gather and translate business requirements (EU subsidiaries, customers) into agile logistics solutions
- Bring your expertise and experience in warehouse operations and distribution / transportation
- Govern logistics performance (4PL, 3PL) and operations excellence, incl. targets setting, auditing and defining improvement actions
- Initiate and develop innovative solutions to enhanced service levels and optimize (costs) efficiency
- Identify, advise and present stakeholders with tailored logistics solutions and best practice sharing
- Lead innovations projects in support of efficiency, excellence and new service development
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in logistics (innovations, market) and use your knowledge to identify trends and opportunities
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate would fit the following profile:
- Bachelor/Master degree in Logistics or Supply chain management
- 10+ years working experience with(in) the field of logistics operations (warehousing, transport), preferably at logistics service provider(s)
- Various experience in project management
- Strong analytical thinker
- Fluent in English, other European languages or Korean are a plus
- Comfortable working across different cultures
- Availability to frequently travel within Europe
- Ability to translate complicated requirements into well-defined tasks
Furthermore, your approach can be described as flexible and hands-on, which is required in the dynamic, challenging and high performance work environment Samsung offers. We are looking for a team player who is result and solution oriented and able to work independently. You have excellent communication skills and cultural understanding. Furthermore, you take ownership and accountability in your role.
